ZSP, The season so far

It has been almost 2 years since I returned to T100 with ZSP.

I was not initially enthused with the squad, but over the last few seasons have been putting my own stamp n it, mainly feeding on scraps, finding others cast offs that will fit in and trying to find young players who have a good future.

This season I signed a new 3 year contract, with the stipulation of finishing in the top 15 this season. A tough ask given as we survived relegation by the skin of our teeth last season. We had to win the last 3 games and hope Sassuolo lost theirs which happened

Malcolm had us as the second weakest team in the division on his stats but we have surpassed all expectations.

We currently sit in 3rd place and on course for at least the play offs, recruitment has been good. We continue to look for rough diamonds, the players we do have that interest others will not be sold cheap, this was evidenced when we moved Guido Rodriguez on, we waited patiently for the right deal and received Lopes from Sassuolo IRL and World Cup star Amrabat

This season I was very pleased to pick up Sequeira form external a defender rated 86 who recently rose to 87. I also believe Taylor Booth and Aleksa Terzic will turn out to be good additions. With an average age of 29 and 87 rated first 11 were not equipped for Division 2 but that wont stop me doing my best to get there.

We have some very good players coming through – Andre Almeida, Facundo Torres and Jarrad Branthwaite being the pick of players who could be in the first team squad in the next year. I also really hope Ethan Pinnock gets a deserved rise to 88, he has been phenomenal for Brentford since their real life promotion to the Premier League

I think Sporting will hold top spot, followed by Sao Paulo, then fingers crossed us in 3rd. I think Manchester United will win the play offs but what do I know eh, none of those predictions will probably happen. Anyway just a short and sweet update, cheers for reading
