This is just a suggestion to free up players in the GW, it's a radical solution and one that perhaps won't go down well with all managers, however, he it is.

At the end of each season ( i.e now) everyone must sell ALL their players that have playing concerns, whether this be level 4 or just level 1, a player whose concern has dropped (green arrow) would be exempt.

I would further suggest that these players be sold externally, this would stop any deals being struck such as managers swapping unhappy 90 rated players, this wouldn't help anything, sell them externally then everyone has a chance and managers wont have to make decisions on who to sell to should multiple similar offers be made.

As I said this would be radical but when I looked this morning there was 4 pages of players that had playing concerns, that's a lot of players and would certainly give managers something else to think about throughout the season regarding who plays and who they are prepared to risk losing.

Gary is no stranger to controversy this season with the French giants relegation prompting calls for Gary to step down from the club he has presided over since the very inception of T100 back in 2015.

I spoke to Gary to get his side of the story....

Gary, you've been in charge of PSV for 3 and a half years now, what do you think you've achieved in this time?

Not as much as we should have really! But still more than most! We've won the shield and super cup a few seasons back! The thing is success is measured in many different ways! Most people look at silverware! And of course that's the best way, we all want that! But you have to look a bit deeper as well, You have to look at the future and where the club is heading! It's hard to be successful and give the club a bright future as I have found out! I could have no doubt finished higher in the league and avoided relegation if I'd kept some of the players I had! But what good is a top 6 finish with an oap side? That side then declines, gets relegated and never returns to the top flight! I've sacrificed top players for some bright youth, yes I've also been relegated but just look at the squad!! The future is very very bright for PSG! I'm absolutely certain if you ask the owners and fans if they'd prefer to swallow a relegation with a team brimming with youth potential and a bright future or a top 6 finish with a declining team with no future??? I'm sure they'd all take the relegation! Cos this PSG squad will win div 2 and return to div 1 and be a force to be reckoned with! There are teams that finished higher in div 1 that have nowhere near the future we have here! And we have that future because of my work! 

2) What would your answer be to the critics who say you've had more than long enough at PSG and this seasons relegation has to result in your sacking and another gaffer given the chance at a big club, as it would be in real life?

I'd say they don't know what loyalty is!! I've bought players who have under performed but I've stuck by them and they've turned the corner and been a success! All I'm asking is for one chance just like I've given to many! I know the club better than anyone, I know where we went wrong, so I'm 100% the man to get us back up and be a force in div 1! Why should someone else come in and reap the rewards of my work!? Yes there is still work to be done but I feel like I've built the foundations of a house, the walls, windows etc and now someone wants to come in lay a carpet on the floor and claim it as there own!?!?!? Personally I've got more decorum! I couldn't lower myself to steal someones hard work

3) If you were granted another season at PSG what contract stipulations would you likely have?

given the quality of the squad I’d say a title win is what the owners would want!? And I’m happy with that!

4) Which players progress are you most proud of in your time at PSG?

Although he hasn't set the world alight YET! probably kingsly Coman! He's been in and out of the side struggling with form and injuries, but he is a world class player and he's gonna show the rest of You exactly that in the next few seasons

5) If you are sacked how do you feel you will cope at a lower division club?

To me, loyalty is everything! I'm a very loyal and sentimental man, if the owners don't give me the chance I feel I deserve then I will walk away from football, it would break my heart to sit and watch someone else tear this club apart

6) What's your players all time favourite post match food?

We all love a portion of southern fried frog from the takeaway down the road, Kingsley's uncle owns the place so we go there quite a lot.

In my 1st season with the Argentinian giants the initial target was a crack at the play off's with a new squad which had been radically re hauled after finishing 20th the previous season before my arrival. The 1st team squad which finished season 9 consists of just 1 player who wasn't signed by me and he is my reserve keeper.

On to the season itself and it started in great fashion, a 3-0 away win at Rubin Kazan. River fans got brought back to life fairly quickly with back defeats to Augsburg and Independiente, both narrow 1 goal defeats. The springboard to the season's success followed though as the lads bounced back in simply great fashion..7 STRAIGHT WINS.the first 5 of them without conceding a goal as the lads roared to the top of the table. A mini wobble came after the magnificent 7 with a treble loss in the league as Alkmaar, Bordeaux and Udinese took the spoils. 1st round cup defeats in the shield and cup probably helped us focus our efforts on the league with players fully fit in the league campaign.

We recovered to take maximum points from games against West Brom & Dinamo Zagreb before Feyenoord left Argentina with 3 points. Game 17 saw our run of win/lose come to an end with our first draw of the season against Lille in an entertaining 2-2 match. We ended the 1st half of the season with back to back wins against Twente and Malaga. We finish the 1st half of the season in pole position for promotion with 37 points from 19 games, 12 wins. I'm happy with this so far!

We exited the youth cup against PSV after a 3-2 aggregate defeat, 2-2 away had set us up nicely I had thought but a disappointing 1-0 defeat left us out on our arses. The league's reverse fixtures started in the same fashion, win against Rubin and defeat to Augsburg. Happy with the wins but the defeats kept cropping up, 7 defeats in 21 wouldn't normally be the catalyst for a title charge but with just the 1 draw the wins were keeping us flying.

The next 11 games give us the consistency I craved, 7 wins 3 draws and just the 1 defeat. We are now flying, 8 points clear of 2nd and I'm looking at previous league winners to see what the record winning margin in division 5 is, arrogance at it's finest(11 points by Villarreal in season 2 with a record 85 points in case you are wondering) . Then our arses started twitching, 3 successive draws closed that 8 point gap to 2nd to 3 points. 3 games left and I've got 2 of my 3 immediate promotion rivals to play. I'm now looking at the gap to 4th and thinking have I enough to gain promotion let alone the title which had looked nailed on 3 games ago. A 2-1 home defeat did absolutely nothing to calm the nerves, the gap stayed 3 to 2nd but 4th was now just 5 points away. A point was needed for promotion as our goal difference would see us ok.

Away to Twente whilst our rivals were all at home scared me, was this gonna be the greatest slip since Gerrard? Well we started slow and the game was still 0-0 when 8 minutes into the 2nd half Ze Luis strode on to a Diego Demme through-ball to fire us 1-0 up..aah this feels better! 15 minutes later and it was 2-0 as sub Cordoba struck a fantastic half volley to send the River fans delirious. Remember a point was enough and with 20 mins to go we are 2-0 up. Twente however were battling despite their lowly league position and sure enough they pulled a goal back on 73 when Eder flicked home a cross. However the kitchen sink failed to materialise and we saw the game out without any further scares..2-1 we were promoted!!! A quick check on our rivals and we weren't just promoted WE WERE CHAMPIONS!!! Malaga had drew and West ham had lost, 4th place Lille won so the battle was now who was joining us, all 3 tied on 65 points. Not my concern although I would stick a full strength team out in our final game to Malaga as the integrity of the league needed to maintain. A carnival atmosphere welcomed both teams but the game itself was an anti-climax 0-0 but both sets of fans celebrated as Malaga's point ensured they secired 2nd place as well. Happy days all round.

The season ended for us in Holland with that win against Twente, My first success in T100 and straight away I was looking to improve the squad for our Division 4 campaign. In the days following we agreed several deals which I'm delighted with, although I am sad to see Wan-Bissaka leave the club. The ins and outs are as follows, IN's on the left OUT's on the right
