Sir Stephen Beddows has seemingly flouted the imminent new rule change brought in by Top 100’s authorities for managers who go over the 50 player squad limit.
In a move seen by some as flagrant cheating, the self-appointed knight of the realm quietly and without his usual fanfare purchased an unknown lowly rated youth player, taking to 51 players.
After initially denying any wrongdoing, Beddows faced calls from some of the more excitable elements within the game to suffer a three month transfer ban, and to be stripped of his honorary title.
When asked to comment, the Madrid boss said:
I thought it was all a dream. At least [Bayern boss] Scallotti can leave me alone now.
