AC Milan fans, players and staff alike have vowed to party all the way to Rome (they face Lazio tomorrow) as their remarkable season continues – after Milan single handily won the World Cup at the beginning of Season 4, they have followed it up with DOUBLE success in the Milan Cup and now the Copa del Duomo – a trophy they won tonight convincingly destroying Inter for the 3rd time in a week to take the coveted trophy.

The Coppa del Duomo on display outside its home

Milan played 3 matches against Inter with the race to 5 points being the key marker of the Champion – the first match was Milan U21 v Inter U21 with Milan winning 4-1 – a hat-trick from Petagna, the 2nd leg was a drab 0-0 between the teams “A” sides and as no one had reached the magic 5 points a 3rd leg was needed this time it was Milan B v Inter B (only players who’d played in neither of the 1st two legs were eligible) Milan won 3-0

TREBLE CHAMPIONS

Balotelli now has a World Cup winners medal, Milan Cup medal and Copa del Duomo to bot. 🙂

Corruption and criminality abounds at AC. The ref was surely bunged. A disgrace!
