Leicester City beat reigning champions Levante 7-4 over two legs to win the club’s first ever Youth Cup.
Mathys Tel scored four goals including a hattrick in the second leg, while Jamal Musiala provided a hattrick of assists in each game. Florian Wirtz gave the best individual performance with a perfect 10 rating in the first leg.

Congratulations to Foxes’ manager Doug Earle who now adds the Youth Cup to his two Youth Shield wins in S15 and last season.
Earle is only the second manager after ruts in S18 with Benfica to stop Levante, who have now reached a record seven consecutive Youth Cup Finals.
In the Youth Shield, Atletico Madrid overcame the brave challenge of underdogs Bayer Leverkusen, winning 4-0 on aggregate.

Antonio Nusa was the star man with two goals, an assist and a Man of the Match award over the two legs. Georgiy Sudakov also stood out with three assists in the two games.

The win marks Atletico’s first youth competition win since S1 when they won the inaugural Youth Cup under Doc (aka Jamie H). Congratulations to manager Gav Harmer on his first youth win.
