HOFFENHEIM STUN CELTIC AT PARKHEAD!
LERMA’S WONDERSTRIKE SEALS VICTORY

Hoffenheim put a week where they lost their unbeaten home record to Udinese and crashed out of the Sheild behind them with a dominant win over Celtic by a goal to nil. Hoffenheim were quick out the blocks and silenced Celtic Park in the 5th minute, with what turned out to be the only goal of the game; Che Adams fed the ball to Lerma who caught everyone out including Rui Silva with a speculative effort which found it’s way into the top corner.
The first half drew to a scrappy close with chances at a premium. Celtic, boosted by Costa’s half time team talk had an immediate chance to equalise, Galeno fed Hermoso who stung the palms of Dragowski with a long range effort. However, this turned out to be the only real opportunity Celtic calved out, Hoffenheim then dominated the ball and chances. Celtic then found themselves down to 10 men, Azmoun went two feed, studs up on Lerma, who could luckily continue on, but is a doubt for Espanyol.
With the final whistle rang boos in Celtic Park, they’re used to better and now see their side drop out of the top 3. Hoffenheim walked away delighted as they get their first away win of the season and move up to 12th in the league.
