Huge clash in the South of France Tonight.
V 
Matchday 34 see's a almighty battle at the bottom of Division 1 as Livesey's Lyon team face Noisy's Leverkusen in the Stade Garland.
The loser of this game tonight will be likely to be playing in the Top 100 Division 2 next season
Lyon are woefully out of form suffering 6 straight league defeats and sit 3 points behind Leverkusen and 6 points from safety with only 4 games left to play.
Leverkusen found some form out of the blue when coming back from 2-1 down at home to Liverpool to overturn the Merseysiders 4-2 in the last game, when Silva and Calhanoglu again stole the show.
This win was Leverkusens first win in 6 games but it also gave the club belief again as they moved to within 3 points of safety, another win tonight would give us the mental strength to survive.
Lets hope Leverkusen are celebrating another win come Thursday Evening.
The club has also received a number of bids in the last week for Brandt which is hardly surprising considering the fact he has dazzled for Leverkusen in real life scoring in the last 6 games for the club taking his seasons tally to 9 and some of those goals secured Leverkusen Champions League Football next season.

Levante this morning presented their new signing to the press. He is young Swedish attacker Muamer Tankovic. The 21 year old can play up top, or in an attacking midfield role. It is expected that he will be employed predominantly as a striker alongside Isaac Success for next season’s youth competition, but may also get a few opportunities in midfield if injuries / suspensions necessitate.

The club fought off strong competition from Aston Villa to land the youngster, and are delighted to have him on board. The player himself was equally pleased. When asked, he said that he was disappointed when *** allowed him to leave, and that he was desperate to get back into the Top 100. When Tigres UANL told him of both Levante and Aston Villa’s interest, the player was delighted. Whilst saying that it was difficult to turn down a club the size of Aston Villa, he admitted that he joined Levante in part due to Parfitt’s willingness to give the youth players first team opportunities, and the fact that Birmingham is an absolute hell hole. He stated quite frankly that given the choice, he’d rather set up home on the Gaza Strip.

With the club now all but doomed to relegation, he may even be given a chance in the first XI before the season is out . Several youth players have already been given a run out over the last few games, and that trend is expected to continue until the season’s end.
Ryan Woods and Roberto Nunez were sacrificed to bring in Tankovic, although Parfitt suggested that he will continue to keep tabs on both players, along with a couple of others who have left recently, and wouldn’t rule out a return for any of them in the future.
A couple of weeks ago, seasoned pros Samuel Eto’o, Alberto Gilardino and Adam Szalai all came in to the club, and were followed almost immediately by Ivan Ramis and Aiden McGeady. With the recent arrival of the young Swede, and 26 year old Frenchman Jonathon Kodjia along with 23 year old Slavoljub Srnic fromCrvena Zvezda last week, Parfitt was asked about the clubs transfer policy. Did he have any kind of policy at all, or was it just a case of names in a hat.
The boss moved to clarify the position, stating that it was club policy to predominantly sign players under the age of about 24 / 25, that have the potential to improve and move through the leagues on an upward curve. The likes of Eto’o, Gilardino et al though were bought in due to the fact that the club have lacked goals consistently, and he felt that those players may be a bit calmer with the target in sight, and could pass on plenty of experience to the younger players.
Whilst on the subject, Parfitt said that he had one other target on his radar, and that a young midfielder may join the club over the next week or two. He also admitted that preliminary talks had taken place with another club regarding Adriano, and that although nothing had been agreed as yet, and that the player would remain with the club at least until the end of the season, there is a chance he would be leaving in a part exchange deal. Other than that, the squad is likely to remain largely as is for next season.
He also admitted that the club were one of a host of other sides to make an offer for *** Ponce, but the young Argentine opted for Chievo Verona and Italy instead.
Connor Washington has also completed a move to QPR for a fee of just over £400k. The Northern Irishman never made an appearance for Levante, but is again a player that the club will continue to keep an eye on with the door again left open for a return to Spain.
Parfitt thanked all of the players for their efforts whilst at Levante, and wished them all well for the future.
Angel Romero remains on the transfer list, although if no acceptable offers come in for the young Paraguayan striker, then the club will be happy to keep hold of him. They feel that he still has something to offer, and is still of an age whereby he can improve.
Looking ahead to tonight’s match against promotion hopefuls Genoa, Parfitt admitted that his side were once again in for another difficult fixture. The Italian side have hit a rough patch at just the wrong time, but this weeks signing of Christian Benteke is a sign of their intent to get out of the division, and that they were not to be underestimated. The gaffer also said that three of the youth side had already been told they would start this evening, whilst a fourth was under consideration. If the fourth name misses out tonight though, the expectation from the manager was that he would get a start on Sunday.
Parfitt rounded out the press conference by having a quick jibe at AC Milan counterpart Stephen Beddows. The beleaguered Milan manager was on SMTV Top 100 over the weekend, and seemed to be mocking Parfitt’s pleasure at the signing of Kodjia from Bristol City. Parfitt said that maybe if Beddows spent more time looking after his own side, and less looking at what everybody else was doing, he might be able to drag his side to safety. Eventually, the laughter amongst the assembled press corps subsided, and Parfitt admitted that in actual fact, there was no way that anybody with the managerial ability of Beddows could save his side, even with a step by step guide to saving stuff written by Flash Gordon, Saviour of the Universe.

Arsenal transformation
With the season end nearly upon us, we here at Arsenal Central decide to weigh up two recent Arsenals squads. With our new manager firmly making a stamp on the squad since he's came in way back at the start of the season, both the first team and reserves have been freshened up. We look closely in this article and compare the squads before Michael Bowes came in, compared to the one which currently takes the field at the Emirates. First up is the starting line ups:
With both sides Petr Cech is in goal, a reliable, experienced keeper and one of the words best. The current full backs of Bellerin & Moreno lack experience but have bags of energy and pace compared to the more stable but aged Monreal & Debuchy. The central of the defence has improved with the arrival of Benatia who replaced the German Mertesacker to partner Koscielny. Moving just in front of the defence is new pairing Alonso and Perez, both more defensively minded than the old pairing of Fernando and Wilshere, when fit Wilshere would had been a vocal point of this team for sure but with lack of minutes we feel Bowes made the right choice in brining in the experience of the new defensive midfielders. Moving to the 3 attackers behind the lone striker, it certainly has taken a hit in talent to improve the rest of the team with Sanchez, Ozil and Santi Cazorla providing a dangerous attacking threat, but Bale, Barkley & Willian is sure to have defences scratching their heads on how to handle them. This lands us to our lone striker, the man whos job it is to score the goals, that job is in the hands of Oliver Giroud. A vocal point with his height or the option to keep it on the floor and lay it off to the pace on the wings is something which fits Bowes's system perfect!
The first team being talked about now leads us on to the squad players who are pushing the team mates for a starting role:
Big pressure is on Cechs shoulders now with Szczesny departing as he's now the only recognisable goalkeeper. With the arrivals of Barta and Jones this allows Chambers to move over to his more comfortable role at right back. Talented Luke Shaw made the switch from Manchester United to complete a near English back line. With the defensive duo of Flamini and Coquelin leaving at the start of Bowes's era, Eric Dier was brought in shortly over to provide that defensive cover with Roberto Soriano arriving rather recent with some fans not knowing too much about him. Young prodigy Max Meyer leads the midfield line in between the experience of Nasri and dos Santos, the loss of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was a big one to take for the fans with so much hype around him but the deal was right for the long term future for our precious club. The ever reliable and hard working Danny Welbeck was replaced by another English man in Saido Berahino with us here at Arsenal Central not overly sure this man has what it takes to succeed on his own.
With the future looking bright and with so many young lads who have huge amount of potential, we feel Michael Bowes is the right man for this club. The style of football played by our leader is something which we hope can be replicated week in week out. One thing is for sure:

Just ask Stephen Beddows, whose obsession with men's beautifying products inspired the AC Milan supremo to authorise a bizarre "Tekitanka haka" - performed by his players before a recent match (in collaboration with facial lubricant manufacturer Nivea)
"Signor Berlusconi offered the team invites to his bunga-bunga party!" was Beddows' lame effort to deflect the backlash.

As most would expect, the worlds best player has been the star performer this year. With 26 appearances and a amazing 29 goals the Argentine has helped Scott McKenzie to a very impressive 46 games unbeaten and look to have secured the divison one title. Messi has been voted man of the match and incredible 22 times in the 26 appearances he has made.

Troy Deeney
Someone I'm sure wouldn't had thought would be in contention for a chance of the golden boot at the start of the season. Troy doesn't have the same ability as Messi and Higuain but take nothing away from the lad, he's been prolific this season. He's started I'm all 32 games for divison 5 outfit Feyenoord this season which has shown how much faith Zaid Griffin has shown him and boy has he paid it out. With 20 goals and leading the goal scoring charts by an impressive 5 goals! Zaid will hope a Deeney can help bring the title to Holland

Second Part Of Round Up. Division 3,4 & 5
With division 1 & 2 already briefly rounded up,
we turn our attention to the lower leagues.
Arsenals Michael Bowes carries on with his verdicts
Division 3.
The main talking point of division three is the race for promotion. 6 points separate 1st-6th with another 3 points separating 6th-10th with automatic and plays off still widely open. Ajax, CSKA Moskva & FC Basel currently hold the 3 automatic spaces with Leicester, Marsielle & Aston Villa hot on their tail. Ajax and CSKA have some tough games approaching having to both play 4 of the chasing pack and I feel only 1 of the 2 will come away with an automatic place. Basel have the easier of the top 3 only having to play 2 of the play off chasing pack. Leicester also have a tough run in playing 4 of the teams fighting up near the top. Marsielle have to play 3 with 2 of those games being at home and would be my tip to grab the last automatic spot. Aston Villa have a tough 2 games coming up next with tap toppers Ajax away and CSKA at home but will feel like they will have enough to cement their spot in the plays offs. With it all being so tight at the top I feel nothing will be decided to the last couple of games and have to be one of the leagues to keep an eye on come the end of the season.

Division 4.
Like divison 3, it's towards the top where MB will be talking about. 6 points separate 1st-8th and teams feeling the can scrap into the automatic places. Malaga, Southampton & Genoa currently hold those spots but Internacional, Atalanta, Dynamo Moskva, AZ & Torino will all be hoping someone somewhere slips up. Malaga have to play 3 of the chasing pack mentioned and with 2 being at home would be confident to finish in the top 3. Southampton will also strongly fancy their chances with the run in the have, 2 away games at Internacional and Dynamo Moskva will make it tough though. Genoa have the easiest of the run ins with no games against the teams motioned and will certainly feel they have the edge over the rest, Frank Hirst's would be my tip for the title. Internacional have to play 4 of the teams around them but with 4 homes games out of the 6 left will definitely use that to their advantage. Atalanta managed by Sean Cass have done an amazing job to be up there come the closing stages of the season, they play 3 of the chasing sides in the last 4 games with 2 of thosegames away so will certainly do well to stay in touch. Dynamo Moskva have had one hell of a season with Sherief Razzaque and would be a strong contender for manager of the setup this season, no one should write them off and will certainly make the play offs, if they can get through there next 4 games with 7 points or more they will feel they can push on for those automatics, Malaga, Atalanta and Southampton stand in there way wishin those 4 games. Like Genoa Torino don't have to play anyone which are currently in the top 8 so will feel a play off place is the least they can expect from this season. AZ will also wonder how they're up there with the squad they hold which is a great achievement by Bela Guttmann, with 3 of there 6 games against the current top 8 it's unlikely a automatic is within there reach but a play off spot will definitely be something they want to achieve.

Hertha Berlin are the only real challengers to fellow Germans Stuttgart but with some tough games away to Feyenoord and Celtic along with a home tie with fellow play off contenders Club Brugge a tough run in to close the 3 point gap.
