Real Madrid are the World Club Champions !!!
Last Wednesday, Sergio Ramos lifted Top 100’s biggest trophy of them all after beating Gursimran Bra’s Bayern Munich 2-1 over two legs.
In the group stages Madrid were drawn in the same group as Atletico Madrid, Villarreal CF and FC Porto. The first match saw Real Madrid play away to there local rivals Atletico Madrid.

Goals from Lewandowski (2) Bale, Vidal and Eriksen saw Real batter Atletico in what was there best performance of the season. Well deserved three points, and off and running in this tough group.
Real Madrid 5 Villarreal CF 0…
Two more goals from Lewandowski and others from Bale, Neymar and Marcelo completed another top performance, as Villarreal CF were swept aside in another dominant display. Another three points, and six out of six.
Real Madrid 1 Atletico Madrid 1…
After the first game, The Doc was after revenge. And he nearly got it. An early goal from a Cerci penalty gave Atletico a halt time lead. Real Madrid players came back out at half time after a Roy Keane bollocking and Lewandowski equalised with ten minutes to go, to grab a point.
Villarreal Cf 3 Real Madrid 2…
Villarreal took the lead with a goal from Moreno after 7 minutes, only for Bale to equalize. But one minute later Sandro made it 2-1 to Villarreal. Triguerus the made it 3-1 before half time. After another Roy Keane ear bashing, Madrid pulled one back through Lewandowski. But it wasnt enough, Well deserved win for Villarreal.

So Real Madrid were drawn against FC Porto in the next round.

Yet another goal feast saw Porto take an early lead through Silva, but 2 goals from Neymar before half time made the score 2-1. Lukaku made it 2-2 after the break, but goals from Lewandowski, Bale and Neymar sealed the win and take a good advantage into the second leg.
FC Porto 0 Real Madrid 3...
Two first half goals from Neymar and Lewandowski all but sealed the win, as Madrid continued to look for more goals, A 63rd minute goal from Koke finished off Porto and ran out comfortable winners 8-2 over two legs.
Real Madrid went through to the final and were up against Gareth Crisp and his Athletic Club.

In the final first leg, Madrid went behind to a Bueno early goal. But goals from Hazard and Neymar made it 2-1 at half time. Madrid carried on in the second half, and had shot after shot at the Athletic goal. Late goals from Lewandowski and Captain Ramos made it 4-1, and a huge lead going into the second leg.

The second leg was a very tight game, and only a Hazard goal could split the two teams. But the celebrations continued long into the night...

Rob Ryan brought his Napoli side to Madrid in what was a very entertaining game. Madrid took the lead sanchez, only for Higuain to equalize before half time. Madrid were much stronger in the second half and a rare Godin goal made in 2-1 , and a last minute Sanchez goal took Madrid into the World Club Championship final.

In what was a very tight first leg, only a Christiano Ronaldo goal could split the two teams. A very angry Roy Keane promised better in the second leg.
Bayern Munich 0 Real Madrid 2.
As promised Roy Keane's Madrid side were much better and a Koke goal saw Madrid take a 1-0 lead at half time. Again the match was very close until up popped Neymar in the 55th minute to seal the victory as Madrid won 2-1 over the two legs. Roy Keane , the Madrid players and fans celebrated in Gursisman Brar's own back yard.
So Real Madrid become the first World Club Champions in Top 100....

Last nights Top 100 Division 4 play off semi final defeat to Udinese brings down the curtain on Malaga's erratic season, however the main talking point was the future of manager Greg Billington who looked a very subdued and disheveled figure last night in the home team dug out.
Chairman Sheikh Abdullah Al Thani kicked things off with the announcement that, after days of media speculation linking Billington with vacant positions at other clubs or even the sack, he would however be staying at Malaga FC for the Top100 season 3 with the full support of the board.
The news was met with a mixture of cheers, hisses and laughter but the Chairman was quick to add that several key issues, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly as he put them, had been thrashed out and a new strategy was now in place that will see Billington take full control of team affairs, the youth set-up and the medical facilities with the full backing of the Chairman and support from the board.
In short:
The Good - Billington has done a sterling job in reducing the average age of the squad and at the same time significantly lowering the wage bill. Big earners like Kaka, Weligton, Boka and Dudu have all left the club since Billington took charge and younger, brighter talents have been earmarked to come into the first team for next season including one or two of the clubs youth players.
The Bad - Missing out on promotion after occupying the top 3 spots until the very last week of the season had angered the fans, some of them calling for Billington to be sacked. However Al Thani was quick to defend his manager by stating that he had in fact had very limited resources at his disposal including a very poor transfer budget, a rapidly ageing squad and he had also been very unlucky with injury's and bans to key personnel. Whilst pointing out that there are not massive amounts available for next season there would however be less pressure on the manager as he rebuilds the squad his way and tries to emulate, what in fact has been a fairly decent season on the whole with a semi final appearance in the Coppa Del Burro to add to the 4th placed league finish.
The Ugly - Succumbing to the mounting pressure and mind games and airing a rather embarrassing rant on Top100 TV. Al Thani stated that not only was this very unprofessional but it also reflected badly on the club as a whole and would not be tolerated again. Billington was quick to agree and stated that the new season will be a fresh start for everyone at the club and every effort will be made to push once again for promotion and a decent cup run.The Future:
Folowing on, Billington stated that missing out on promotion via goal difference, and just 1 single goal, had been the most disappointing aspect of the season but with the arrivals of Eren Derdiyok and Tomas Necid as the new Malaga CF strike force for next season he feels that scoring goals will not be an issue.
Unfortunately Malaga will be unable to compete in the transfer market with the big boys, however Billington has already managed to add a bit of quality to the midfield with the likes of Olcay Sahan and Vlad Ignatyev arriving in the last couple of weeks. Also joining the club in the past few days to add competition at the back, Swiss full back Francois Moubandje, South African Anele Mgcongca and the experienced Costel Pantilimon providing vital cover.Billington finished the press conference by stating that with the full backing of the Chairman and with the fans on board he is pleased and excited to be staying at Malaga FC and really looking forward to season 3 in SM Top100.

A hugely entertaining evening took place this weekend at the exclusive ‘Manhole’ club in downtown Brussels as the top players and coaches from Belgium’s three Top 100 clubs gathered for the seasonal ‘Belgium football writers, manager of the season’ award for season 2.
The award was presented to Anderlecht’s Prince Michael William.
PMW took over the reins of the club midway through the season as the club finally lost patience with manager IIPacKMasteRII following a 5-0 thumping by Independiente, their 7th straight defeat which left the club near the bottom of the table in 18th place.
The impact PMW made was immediate as they won their first game under his control, an impressive 3-1 victory over title hopefuls Stuttgart.
In the 20 matches PMW presided over they lost just 4 times, setting new club records along the way and climbed the table to finish in 8thposition just missing out on a playoff spot by 5 points and finishing the season as the divisions most inform team.
MANAGERIAL CHANGES
This season has been a transitional one for all three clubs with new managers being appointed at each of the clubs at different points of the season.
Club Brugge KV where the first for a change of management, replacing last seasons award winner Gordon ‘Gino’ Kinnear following his departure to Liverpool with local coach Davy Vandendriessche.
It was a largely disappointing campaign for Brugge however. After the club reached last seasons playoffs, automatic promotion was the aim and hope of the fans but Vandendriessche failed to deliver finishing the season in a disappointing 11th place and never really putting a run together.
Then it was Anderlecht's turn, appointing PMW, acting quickly following his release from an Italian asylum where he had been taking a short break from football after his Dalglish style breakdown while in charge of Italian giants Inter.

Standard Liège where the last to make a managerial change this season, with 8 games to go and following a 2-0 home reversal to Celtic, their 4th defeat in a row, Frank Luca was told to ‘Luca’ for a new job ! In came the passionate and very confident James Foster.
He managed to turn their fortunes around in the final 8 games of the season losing just once with 4 draws and 3 wins, finishing the season in 12thplace.
And to conclude, a lot will be expected from the three teams in season 3 with all three expected to challenge for, at the very least, a playoff place, then we’ll be back here at the lavish ‘Manhole’ club once more to see who will win the Belgium football writers Manager of the year award for season 3 but for now it’s congratulations to Anderlecht and their manager Prince Michael William, the BFWMOY season 2
Value added explained for the mathematically challenged.
At the start of the season all clubs were rated according to the average of the main positions NOT cash value.
Then the predicted finishing position was calculated, with some minor human input to avoid skewing , i.e. a one of anomaly which affected the overall good / bad rating of a team ( this was only used in 3 or 4 teams )
So taking my own team Fiorentina were the 17th rated team. I finished 11th so I added 6 places in value.
AC Milan were 13th rated , they finished 18th so they get - 5.
Now I know that the highest rated team can never add any value or the lowest rated lose any. In addition it could well be better for a 6th place team to finish 2nd than a 19th rated team to finish 15th.
Not surprisingly the biggest variation came with lowest divisions.
